On 5 March 2021, the security certificate for connecting to eduroam expired and a new security certificate was added.
This means that everyone connecting to eduroam using a laptop, phone or tablet computer will need to set up Wi-Fi on their device again to use eduroam.
How to update your eduroam settings
The easiest way to reconfigure is to go to your Wi-Fi settings and 'forget' your existing eduroam network entry.
Then go to the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT) and follow the device-specific instructions that will appear on screen.
For mobile devices:
- Android users will find it most straightforward to download and run the eduroam CAT app.
- iOS users should visit the CAT installer using the Safari web browser and follow the instructions from there.
